2025 AGM CONCLUDED 📣
The resumed 2025 CLTANSW Annual General Meeting was held on 17 February 2026, at which the 2026 CLTANSW Committee was elected. Congratulations to Mr Ke Fan and the new CLTANSW leadership team.
The new Committee has set its highest priority to establishing a transparent, fair, and service-focused governance framework that benefits all CLTANSW members and their students.

CLTANSW exists to support and empower all Chinese language teachers across NSW. We actively foster professional learning, collegial exchange, and leadership development, recognising that strong teachers are central to strong student outcomes. Through our programs, resources, and networks, we aim to build capability, confidence, and collective expertise within our profession.
As educators, we shape the future. As a community, we strengthen one another. In an evolving educational landscape, our experience matters — and your voice matters. One of my priorities this year is to provide a trusted forum for teachers to engage thoughtfully with education policies and their implementation, ensuring that practitioner voices inform conversations that shape curriculum, assessment, and teaching practice.
By connecting educators with one another, and with the wider Chinese community in New South Wales, we deepen cultural understanding and enrich learning experiences for our students.
I warmly invite you to become part of our Association — as a member, contributor, or partner — and to join us in shaping the future of Chinese language education in NSW.

It is my privilege to serve as President of an association dedicated to promoting and strengthening the teaching and learning of Chinese language and culture in NSW schools. Our work is grounded in a shared commitment to high-quality language education, professional collaboration, and meaningful cultural connection.
WELCOME TO CHINESE LANGUAGE TEACHERS' ASSOCIATION OF NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA
The association's objectives:
- To promote and foster the study of the Chinese language and culture in the Day Schools in the state of New South Wales.
- To promote and encourage professional development between teachers of Chinese language and culture.
- To provide a forum for teachers of Chinese to respond to policies and its implementations related to the teaching of Chinese.
- To form a link between teachers of Chinese and China and the local Chinese community.

The following definition of membership was accepted by the Association at its 2024 AGM unanimously and reconfirmed by the immediate past president in her membership announcement on 28 March 2025:
'All Chinese language teachers in NSW are considered members, and we warmly welcome them to participate in our various activities.'
